Julie is a British/Australian citizen, currently residing in the Blue Mountains, West of Sydney. Before training as a nurse at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, Julie lived and worked in Bavaria, Germany. Here she made many friends and learnt to speak the language.
Born in Bovey Tracey on the edge of the Dartmoor she grew up on the South Coast around Kingsbridge. Memories of excursions onto the rugged moors, riding around the idyllic back country lanes and summers spent on the surf beaches; coupled with a love of writing and a passionate interest in all things forensic science were the inspiration for the MOORLAND FORENSIC series of crime fiction.
Julie is originally from South Devon. She is a classically trained flautist, proficient horse-rider and journalist having studied at the Australian College of Journalism. She is proud to be a member of the Australian Society of Authors.

It is a pleasure and a privilege to be working with Ben and Laura. They are highly regarded in the field of book marketing and bring a wealth of expertise, coupled with a genuine desire to assist writers and authors.
A special thank you to Austin Macauley Publishers for making my books a reality. The third book will be heading to London shortly to begin its journey to publication!
I am now working on the fourth book in the Moorland series.
My husband Terence has been an amazing source of practical knowledge in helping to put together crime scenes and Judicial scenarios and provide insight into the complex everyday tools used by today’s forensic chemists and biochemists.
