I was born in Bovey Tracey, Devon and raised in the South Hams on the South Coast. After training as a nurse at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital I moved to Australia and divided my time between working as a clinical nurse and within the music industry. I later graduated from the Australian College of Journalism. This is my first novel and draws on experiences growing up in the spectacular landscapes of South Devon and a passion from an early age to write. I am a classically trained flautist, proficient horse rider and journalist. I currently live in the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area near Sydney with my husband and two children.
"If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together, there is something you must always remember: you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think, but the most important thing is even if we are apart, I'll always be with you." - A.A Milne
As a child growing up in South Devon I was privileged to have known Christopher Robin, the son of AA Milne who created 'Winnie the Pooh'. I would visit the harbour Bookshop in Dartmouth (owned by Christopher Robin) and he would read to me.
From a young age I came to appreciate books.
With the release of my first novel, I hope to continue to share this passion with my readers and fellow book lovers.
